Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies

1. General information
To train highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel, the National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine operates postgraduate and doctoral studies in the specialty 081 “Law” (forensic profile).

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has granted a license to the National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine for educational activities in the field of higher education at the third educational and scientific level (training philosophy doctors) with license capacity of 40 individuals (including foreigners and stateless persons) in specialty 081 “Law”.

In 2021, the educational and scientific program of the third level of higher education (PhD) “Doctor of Philosophy” in the specialty 081 “Law” was accredited by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance. The accreditation certificate is valid until 01.07.2027. In 2023, the National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine underwent the electronic licensing procedure, as a result of which the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine established a license capacity of 10 individuals per year.

2. Admission to Postgraduate Studies for Foreigners

National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine invites foreigners (scientists and practitioners in the field of forensic science, as well as those intending to engage in forensic science in the future) to study in the institute for obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in subject areas within the specialty 081 “Law” (forensic profile), including:● Administrative law and process;● Financial law;● Information law;● Criminal procedure and criminalistics;● Forensic science;● Operational and investigative activities.
The standard period for obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy degree in postgraduate studies, both in full-time and part-time formats within the license capacity, is four years. The tuition fee for foreigners and stateless persons per year on a contractual basis is as follows:
full-time education - 2000 EUR;part-time education - 1700 EUR.
