National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine (NSC FSI) is expanding its research capabilities with the introduction of two new forensic research areas:

– Forensic polygraph examinations (Kyiv);
– Psychological assistance for vulnerable children who witnessed a crime or being hurt by it. This is "Green Room" technique (Kharkiv, Sumy).

The Center's activities expansion at its headquarters in Kharkiv and the Kyiv and Sumy branches aims to address the growing demand for forensic psychological research, which has become increasingly relevant within the ongoing war.

Forensic polygraph examinations enable the detection of signs of deliberately concealed information, propensity for corruption, or espionage with high accuracy rate.
The "Green Room" technique is a modern and effective approach to working with children, providing psychological assistance to vulnerable children – those who have been victims of crime or witnessed it – using special child-friendly techniques.

The “Green Room” interviews primary aims at preventing re-traumatization of the child during investigative and procedural actions using special techniques and comfortable atmosphere creation, as well as technical equipment.
