National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. М.S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute»
The establishment of new laboratories, the introduction of remote forensic psychological examinations, and the expansion of international cooperation were among the key areas of development for the National Scientific Center “Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute” discussed during the working visit of the Minister of Justice of Ukraine, Denys Maslov, to the institution.
During his meeting with the Center’s Director, Anastasiia Kupriianova, and the institution’s staff, the participants discussed employee safety, ensuring the sustainable operation of the institution, and further development of its forensic and scientific capabilities.
Among the projects requiring support from the Ministry of Justice are the establishment of an Energy Research Laboratory and an Anthropological Laboratory, as well as a dissection room for forensic veterinary examinations.
The Center also plans to introduce remote forensic psychological examinations using the state electronic service Diia for the remote identification of participants in forensic examinations.
Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the participation of the National Scientific Center in international grant projects and to the development of cooperation with international organizations, foreign forensic institutions, and international partners.
“Our goal is not only to maintain the Center’s operations under conditions of constant danger, but also to create new opportunities for forensic activities. Support from the Ministry of Justice is an important prerequisite for implementing these projects,” said Anastasiia Kupriianova, Director of the National Scientific Center.
Minister of Justice Denys Maslov noted the effective work of the National Scientific Center despite the challenging conditions and constant security threats, and emphasized the importance of ensuring the Center’s continuous and sustainable operation.
