National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» and Maastricht Forensic Institute BV (Eurofins TMFI) Signed a Cooperation Document

On July 8, 2025, an important event for the Ukrainian and European forensic community took place. The National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine (NSC FSI) and Maastricht Forensic Institute BV (Eurofins TMFI) officially signed a Letter of Intent on further partnership.

The signing ceremony was held online. The document was signed by Mr. Mykhailo Mozhaiev, NSC FSI Acting Director, and Mr. Thomas Ondracek, Managing Director of Eurofins TMFI.

During the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their shared interest in developing international cooperation in the field of forensic science, exchanging professional expertise, implementing joint research projects, introducing modern forensic examination methodologies in line with international standards, as well as supporting NSC FSI through charitable assistance, expert consultations, the development of new forensic techniques, provision of equipment, consumables, and other forms of support.

The signing of this Letter of Intent marks an important step towards building an effective partnership between the institutions, aimed at improving the quality of forensic activities in Ukraine and enhancing the authority of the national forensic system at the international level.
