The NSC FSI expands the capabilities of forensic expert support for the state, law enforcement agencies, and citizens in 2026.

In 2026, the National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» will offer a range of new forensic expertise tools for its partners, including law enforcement agencies, public authorities, local self-government bodies, and individuals.
This was announced by Anastasiia Kupriianova, Director of the NSC FSI, during a meeting with representatives of executive authorities and law enforcement agencies of the Kharkiv Region.
«Such high-level meetings provide an opportunity to address practical issues. As early as 2026 the National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» will be able to provide law enforcement agencies, public authorities, local self-government bodies, and individuals with new, more technologically advanced forensic expertise opportunities», the Director of the NSC FSI.
One of the key areas of development has been the advancement of video and audio recording examinations to a new level. In cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, the Center has trained specialists to work with the new SIVE BASE software product for high-precision speaker identification based on voice and speech.
Among the new areas of the institution’s activities are technical supervision services for the restoration and construction of civil infrastructure facilities, motor roads, bridges, overpasses, and other engineering structures.
To carry out the full cycle of engineering and technical examinations under restoration projects, the NSC FSI has acquired a new mobile road engineering laboratory and other modern equipment.
The modernization of management approaches has allowed the NSC FSI to significantly increase its performance across all areas of activity - both expert and research. In particular, revenues to the special fund of the State Budget for just four months of 2025 exceeded the figures for the corresponding period of the previous year by nearly 30%.
The NSC FSI is consistently expanding its capabilities and strengthening its reputation as a reliable partner.
