Technological Development and Public Safety: NSC FSI Held a Joint Event with Latvian Forensic Experts

The National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» (hereinafter — NSC FSI) of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement, held a joint event with the State Forensic Science Bureau of the Republic of Latvia.
The event’s theme was dedicated to the influence of technological development on public safety, as well as the use of commercial, dual-use products for criminal purposes.
The lecture was delivered by Oleksandr KOLOMIITSEV, a leading research, Ph.D. in Technical Sciences who presented the forensic aspects of of examining high-tech dual-use products. His presentation was accompanied by real-life case samples.
Assisting in the lecture were Tetiana DROSHCHENKO, Head of International Cooperation Unit, and Oleksii KORNIEV, a research fellow at the NSC FSI.
Throughout the lecture, attendees were highly engaged, actively asking questions, focusing on methodological approaches to studying modern threats associated with advanced technologies..
In a follow-up statement, the NSC FSI expressed its gratitude to its partners.
