The development of a methodology for forensic examination of the actual setup of off-grid electric and heat power supply installations is a key area of cooperation under the Memorandum signed between the National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and the Public Union “Association of Distributed and Flexible Generation Entities”.
The new methodology will establish practical approaches for assessing autonomous energy solutions, their compliance with design documentation, and applicable regulatory requirements. This is particularly relevant in the context of the systematic attacks carried out by Russian aggressors against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
“In wartime conditions, the resilience of energy systems and the restoration of critical infrastructure are of strategic importance to the State. Therefore, it is essential to ensure scientifically substantiated approaches to the evaluation of autonomous energy facilities, their compliance with design solutions and regulatory requirements. The integration of expert, scientific, and industry expertise will enable the development of effective instruments for strengthening energy security and supporting Ukraine’s post-war recovery,” noted Anastasiia Kupriianova, Director of NSC FSI.
