A delegation of the National Scientific Center “Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute” of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine (hereinafter — NSC FSI) presented to participants of the annual meeting of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (hereinafter — ENFSI), held in Zurich, Switzerland, the institution’s experience in operating and developing under the conditions of the full-scale war.
During the presentation, Director of the NSC FSI, Anastasiia Kupriianova, emphasized that the war had become a catalyst for profound transformation within the Center.
“Despite the evacuation of some divisions and continued work under security risks, we have significantly strengthened the Center’s forensic capabilities,” Ms. Kupriianova noted. “Over the past years, we have modernized our technical infrastructure, established new laboratories, expanded the range of forensic examinations, and increased the number of forensic experts in relevant specialties. Today, the NSC FSI is actively implementing modern digital solutions, developing international partnerships, and participating in projects related to documenting Russia’s war crimes in Ukraine. We are ready to share this experience and jointly implement new projects.”
Participants of the ENFSI meeting expressed interest in developing international forensic cooperation, particularly in deepening collaboration with the NSC FSI through joint scientific and grant projects.
